Flashbacks and freeze-frames

Of greater interst than just being able to see things one would otherwise miss, was the fact that sometimes the effect would cause one to remember certain things much better. The author found, for example, that faces would be remembered much better with this freeze-frame effect. Often the frozen image would linger in visual memory much longer than the moving one. There is current evidence to support the existance of a visual memory[21], so it became apparent that one could build a `visual memory prosthetic'.
