Ribbon cutting ceremony:
The 3 phase wind turbine uses a dynamic braking system,
i.e. the three phases are shorted together to prevent it
from turning. Here the multiconductor ribbon cables, connected
in a delta, short the three phases together. There are six ribbons
to be cut (three going from the mech room, and three coming back).
When the ribbons are cut, the three phase power circuit is open
so the turbine can begin turning:
