The name Vitrionics was derived from
the term "Vitrious China" and the word "Electronics", in a
manner similar to the word "Avionics" (Aviation and Electronics).
<p>
Vitrious china is the material from which many plumbing fixtures
such as water closets, urinals, and lavatories are made.
<p>
Similarly, Envirotech is derived from "Environment" and
"Technology".  "Environment" has two meanings, both of which apply:
<ul>
<li>Environmental intelligence: bringing technology into the everyday
    user-environment.
<li>Environmentally friendly solutions that conserve water and other
    natural resources such as trees (e.g. by reducing consumption of paper
    towels).
